If you adopt two cats, the second cat will be at the reduced rate of $75.
Cat adoption fees include:
- First vaccine ($90)
- First deworming treatment ($15)
- Health exam at the Shelter
- Complimentary health exam at a participating veterinary clinic ($80)
- Microchip and tattoo ($75 and $30)
- Registration on PetLynx ($30)
- Information on how to care for your adopted cat
- Spay/neuter surgery ($150-$350)
- Optional complimentary pet insurance for 6-8 weeks after adoption ($20)
- Help with questions on the adopted animal through our behaviour helpline
- Free six-month cat licence (Calgary area only)

Dogs
Fees
Puppies (under 7 months) $450 - this fee includes your registration in Precocious Puppies, an ongoing class for puppies age 8-20 weeks. Training starts right away. (and could potentionally reach 13 weeks of training)
Small Breed) - $295
Adult (7 months to 6 years) $225
Seniors (7 years and older) $155

- Low-cost obedience classes
- Free six-month dog licence (Calgary area only). ($30 - $78)

Rabbits

There is a reduced rate if you adopt two bunnies at the same time, of $25.
Rabbit adoption fees Include:
- Health exam at shelter
- Spay or neuter surgery if necessary and tattoo
- Complimentary health exam certificate at a participating veterinary clinic
- Information on how to care for your adopted rabbit
- help with questions about the adopted animal
For an additional $21.35 you can purchase a registration on PetLynx a national pet identification and recovery service.
As well, the Calgary Humane Society has a number of other species of animals available for adoption, including birds, small rodents and iguanas.
