Hi! I'm Charlie! My foster mom says that I'm an all around wonderful cat. I can entertain myself with sunbeams and bird watching and not get into mischief while you are at work or out and about. I am always very happy to see you when you come home, no matter what kind of day you've had, and am eager to cuddle up and make it better if you've had a tough day. I love nothing more than to snuggle on your lap or lay in your arms, purring and tucking my cute little face in the crook of your arm or into your armpit. And when I get super happy, I have been known to purr so hard I start to drool a bit. But hey, a cat needs to play sometimes too, right? My favourites are chasing little balls or mice, wrestling toys I can kick, and maybe the best one is to play with wand toys with you, especially if you let me lay on my back and reach, grab, fight, and wrestle with it! Yes, I'm a cat of a certain age, but the great thing about that is that I won't be knocking everything off your counters or trying to climb your curtains. I've gotten that out of my system! And I've had time to grow very wise and be able to tell when you need someone to cuddle or pet or play with. I am on a special urinary diet (so are many humans of a certain age my foster mom told me!) to keep me at my healthiest and best, and will need you and your vet to help me stay that way. I am currently on this special diet so that I don't develop any bladder stones - this may need to be continued in the future to keep me happy and healthy. The team here at CHS recommends that my future family follows up with their regular veterinarian to discuss managing my unique needs in the long term.
