Hi there, I'm Popcorn, the cutest little thing on this side of the Bow River! I make sweet little noises like whistling, purring, squealing, and we generally like to chatter. We make great pets as we are usually calm and easy to handle and care for. I'm quite young and a bit skittish around humans, so I would love a family that could go slow and be patient with me as I build my confidence. Lots of hand-feeding and lap time would help socialize me and get me used to my new people! I'll also need a diet of timothy hay with young guinea pig pellets and a fresh leafy green salad twice a day. Adding some extra alfalfa hay will also help me get all the nutrients I need to grow up big and healthy, but only until 6 months old. I'll need to be weaned off of it after this, because it can lead to obesity when I'm an adult! Much like humans, I can't produce my own vitamin C, so I'll need a daily supplement to keep me from becoming sick. Lots of fun, guinea pig-safe toys will help me wear down my teeth and keep me from becoming bored. A big enclosure with lots of room to run around in would be great, and I'd even enjoy some free roam time in an area that's been guinea pig-proofed to keep me safe.
