STEP 1: REGISTER

First thing’s first! Visit the registration page to sign up as an individual, join a team or start a team of your own. Your commitment to our organization and our mission to help as many animals as we can means the world to all of the animals in our care. You are a true animal ambassador! Once you are registered, the real fun begins. Are you ready?

STEP 2: PERSONALIZE YOUR FUNDRAISING PAGE

Your personal fundraising page tells others why you are walking, whether it is because your pet is a rescue, in memory for a beloved pet that has passed, or because you want to see an end to animal cruelty. Inspire your donors by sharing your story. The more personal your story is the better because you believe it or better yet, you lived it. This will inspire your family and friends to donate to your personal cause.

STEP 3: SET YOUR SIGHTS ON A FUNDRAISING GOAL

An ambitious fundraising goal shows people your level of commitment to this important cause. Resist the urge to set a goal that is too easy. Potential donors want to see you succeed and setting a high goal will motivate them to give generously in hopes of helping you achieve your target. Be realistic with your fundraising goal but also challenge yourself as this balance will lead to the most personal satisfaction.

STEP 4: BE YOUR FIRST DONOR

Start by making a donation to yourself. A personal donation highlights your dedication and inspires others to rise to the challenge by following suit.

STEP 5: REACH OUT

Create a list of potential donors you wish to connect with. Then share your story with them through multiple channels like email, social media and face-to-face conversations. We will be providing you with a variety of fundraising materials to assist with your appeals.

Be sure to download our pledge form when you are collecting offline gifts.

STEP 6: GIVE THANKS

Thank donors personally and update them every so often with your progress so they can understand their impact. Recognition of their support will make them feel appreciated.
