Thanks to the support of our generous donors and supporters, previous Cocktails for Critters events have helped to fund life-saving veterinary equipment, essential training for our Peace Officers, critical dog park renovations to increase safety and fun for shelter dogs, daily care for thousands of animals, and allow us to protect animals like Royce and help them find loving homes!

Dog Jog is a celebration of family and friendship! Calgary Humane Society uses the funds raised at Dog Jog to find loving forever families for thousands of animals each year. This year we will be celebrating families of all shapes and sizes by packing South Glenmore Park full of family-friendly (and Fido-friendly!) activities for people and pooches of all ages to enjoy.

Grab a bite to eat from local food trucks or a refreshing beer from the folks at Wild Rose Brewery in our all-age food + beverage garden called the Mutt & Mingle.

Calgary Humane Society announces plans to set new World Record

Calgary, AB — Immediate Release

On June 4, 2016, as part of the 15th annual Dog Jog at South Glenmore Park, Calgary Humane Society will attempt to set a new World Record for the most dogs wearing bandannas.

The previous record was set by an SPCA in Australia in 2015, with 764 dogs wearing bandanas.

Calgary Humane is hoping to beat that record this June to put Calgary on the map!

To participate go to www.calgaryhumane.ca and register, because we need your help to set a new record and raise much needed funds for Calgary Humane Society and the more than 7,600 animals we help each year.
