Pet Loss Counselling

Since our beginning in 1922, Calgary Humane Society has been more than a shelter. We are proud to be Calgary’s first and most robust animal welfare organization.

Community Services

Our Community Services Team is dedicated to supporting animal guardians through a range of services, including our Pet Food Bank, Emergency Boarding, surrender options, and other available resources. We welcome all animals, regardless of their medical or behavioral history. Our compassionate Community Services Team is here to understand your unique circumstances and connect you with the appropriate resources for both you and your animal.

Report Animal Cruelty

If you have reasonable cause to suspect animal abuse, neglect or abandonment contact us without delay. If you are unable to call our dispatch centre at 403-205-4455, please use the report cruelty form here on the website. If the report meets threshold for investigation, our Peace Officers will check on the animals and action appropriate intervention.

Polite Pooches is an advanced class for dogs with basic training, helping them refine key skills and stay focused around distractions.

Reactive Rover is a 7-week class that helps you manage and modify on-leash dog reactivity through proven techniques that build confidence and improve walks.
