Where were you last April 22? Maybe you were finishing up your last semester of school, planning your first camping trip of the season, spring cleaning your yard, or out for a hike to celebrate Earth Day. At CHS, we were welcoming our goofie pittie mix, Mr. Worldwide, into our care. When we first met this intensely affectionate, active, outdoorsy guy, we never would have guessed that he would still be in our care 1 year later!

Mr. Worldwide was found as a stray outside Calgary city limits. We can only guess at his story before finding his way to us. In shelter, our boy quickly charmed staff and volunteers alike with his love of belly rubs, and utter disregard for personal space! (Shh! Don't tell him he's too big to be a lap dog!) If you're looking for a cuddly dog, look no further! Mr. Worldwide also likes to keep active. He's willing and eager to accompany you on adventures of all sorts, and might also make an amazing acreage dog - he's never happier than when he's outside! And if you're looking for smarts, Mr. W could be your boy! He's extremely food motivated and eager to use his brain! (He also holds Certified "Smarty Pup" designation!)

After several months in shelter, Mr. Worldwide successfully deployed his puppy dog eyes and convinced us to send him to foster, where he's happily settled in and enjoying life. He's learned about routines, alerting to go outside, and settling during absences (although he may need some time to work up to a full 8 hour workday!) We can only guess why this goofy, loveable boy hasn't been snapped up, but suspect his abundance of energy and restriction as the only dog in home may play a part. If you're interested in adding this boy to your family, our behaviour team will provide you with support, including tips from his foster home and 3 complimentary private consults to help manage that energy and set you off on the right paw. And while Mr. Worldwide may not be able to live with other dog friends right now, he still shows plenty of potential for making dog friends in the future!

If you're looking for a snuggle bug who can keep up on all your adventures, then look no further than Mr Worldwide. (He might need a coat for your next ski trip, though!)

**Mr. Worldwide is a Patient Paw, who has been available for adoption since May 3, 2024. Please ask about their reduced adoption fee and the possibility of a sleepover!**

Mr. Worldwide has completed one of our training courses and is now a certified Smarty Pup! To support his new family going forward, Mr. Worldwide will also receive 3 complimentary consults with our behavior team following adoption along with three bags of food courtesy of Homes Alive Pets!
