Our brave warrier Kekoa is ready to introduce himself and show you just how special it is to have him on your side! Kekoa has been in shelter for about a month and half, after he was found as a stray. Initially nervous and cautious of touch, this gentle boy blossomed when he found his way into a loving foster home, where he quickly mastered the art of demanding snuggles and attention NOW! Kekoa's foster dad describes a little goof who loves cheese, sock stealing, sniffing adventures in the yard, and curling up together on the couch for a movie and cuddle. Although he has gained so much confidence in foster, Kekoa is still working on building confidence to go for a walk, and will continue to need support in new situations and environments. While he has potential to grow into an amazing family dog, for now, Kekoa will do best in a family with adults or older kids who can read and respect his body language. A structured home with lots of mental and physical activity throughout the day will engage this boy and keep him out of your laundry hamper!
