Meet P-Bear! (also affectionately known as Pooh Bear or Peebs)

P-Bear is a sweet shepherd mix who came to the shelter through no fault of her own. She's had a tough time adjusting to shelter life-it's loud, unpredictable, and sometimes a little scary. But with patient, gentle handling and a calm environment, she's showing us just how much love she has to give.

Once P-Bear feels safe, she leans into affection, even snoozing next to you after a few pets. She's bonded closely with a few staff members and is slowly widening her circle of trust. She's lived with other dogs before and is non-reactive on walks, though loud barking can make her nervous.

P-Bear is still building her confidence and will need a quiet, understanding home where she can take things at her own pace. Her future family should be ready to offer consistency, patience, and lots of love-and in return, they'll gain a loyal, gentle-hearted companion.

Note that many dogs do not reach full size until they are about a year and a half old. The weight listed here is the dog's current weight.
