Meet Pumpernickel, a sweet, gentle boy in search of his new forever! Found as a nervous stray, not much is known about his past, but he's getting braver by the day! Although the shelter is overwhelming for Pumpernickel, he warms up quickly and becomes incredibly affectionate, gently leaning or rubbing up against the people he trusts. It seems that he never really got the chance to just *be* a dog, so he'd thrive with patient adopters willing to help him grow into the doggy companion he is meant to be! And you're in luck, as Pumpernickel is super smart and very eager to learn, especially when tasty treats are involved! He can be nervous around kids and will need a home with no children, and it's unknown how he would do sharing his space with other animals. We can assure you that Pumpernickel is made of love, but there's still one secret ingredient that he's missing - you! The yeast (er, least) you can do is come and say hello, and perhaps you'll find that Pumpernickel is just what you've been craving!
