Meet Jaybird, a beautiful blue budgie who earned his name because the little boy in his foster home was so excited to have a "blue jay"! Jay was found as a stray, and while he's cautious of human hands, as long as you move slowly and calmly, Jay tolerates humans in his space and shows potential for being hand tamed. Jay's foster family say it was an absolute joy to have him in the house. He loves to sing, and has the most gentle, musical chirp - having Jay around is like setting yourself in the midst of a beautiful spring morning! Jay is very interactive and loves when people come and talk with him. He'd be happiest with a large flight cage in a common area where he can be part of all the activity. He might also make a great addition to your current flock. If you think Jaybird sounds like the right little buddy for your home, make sure you have a spacious cage and appropriate budgie pellets, veggies, seeds and toys to welcome this little guy home.
