Meet Milk, a shy and gentle hamster with a soft heart. Milk can be very shy and somewhat skittish, but with patience, quiet companionship, and a calm environment, he'll slowly begin to show his sweet nature. While he may be timid, Milk handles well and is very gentle-just a bit nervous as he learns that people can be kind.
As a Syrian hamster, Milk must be housed alone, as they are solitary by nature and do best without other hamsters in their space. He'll need a large enclosure with at least 600 square inches of unbroken floor space (but the bigger the better!), a solid-bottom wheel, and plenty of bedding for burrowing. Enrichment like tunnels, platforms, and chew toys will help bring out his confidence and natural behaviors. With the right setup and lots of love, Milk has the potential to truly blossom in a patient forever home.
