Meet Nikki, a charming little budgie with a big personality and a few special needs. Found as a stray, not much is known about her past; but, after some time in foster care, we've learned a lot about what makes her tick.

Nikki has permanent damage to both feet, including missing toes and limited mobility. Despite this, she gets around her cage well, balancing on her left foot and gripping with her right. Her new home will need to provide perches of varying textures and thicknesses (platform perches are ideal) to keep her comfortable and safe. Soft bedding and easy-to-access enrichment like shreddable toys or foraging treats will help keep her happy and engaged.

She eats a balanced diet of high-quality pellets, supplemented with fresh vegetables and the occasional treat. Nikki enjoys gentle attention and will even let you pet her face - just go slow and let her set the pace.
