A little bit about Lark:
- Unknown history with children; all interactions should be carefully supervised by an adult
- Unknown history with cats and other small animals; all introductions should be done slowly over a period of time
- Good friends with her foster dog sister; potential for another dog in home pending successful introduction

Say hello to our little Lark! This wiggly, kiss-happy pup may not have a known past, but she's already winning over staff and volunteers with her joyful energy and sweet, affectionate nature. Lark came to us as a stray, and while she's been quick to charm everyone she meets, she finds shelter life stressful and overwhelming. That shelter stress caused her to chew and snack on things she shouldn't, but since she's been in foster care, we've learned that as long as she has enough enrichment and exercise, this isn't a problem! She is still puppy-like and enjoys chewing, but by having lots of toys and safe outlets, she won't be munching on any furniture.

Lark's foster parents have a similar-sized resident dog who she has quickly befriended! Her foster sister is a bit more laidback than Lark, but she has learned how to respect boundaries when her new friend is resting. We think Lark would do well with a low to medium-energy dog going forward! Her foster family has also taken her on a few outings and she especially loves people watching on a public patio. She is on board for any adventure, especially if it's with her people!

This high-energy lady she is a very clever, very food-motivated girl. She's making big strides with crate training, house training, basic manners and new commands like "sit" and "down". With the right guidance, she'll have a blast learning new skills and becoming a true pupstanding citizen. If you're looking for a fun, affectionate, and enthusiastic companion to share life's adventures, Lark just might be your girl!

Note that many dogs do not reach full size until they are about a year and a half old. The weight listed here is the dog's current weight.
