Syrian hamsters need a spacious home with at minimum 600 square inches of unbroken floor space (but bigger is always better!). Shadow will also needs several inches of substrate to dig in, fun hides and tunnels to explore, and a healthy diet. In her previous home, Shadow loved running on her wheel, building burrows in her enclosure, and exploring during supervised free time. Did you know that while hamsters may be small, they commonly travel several kilometres in just one night?
