Madam is a 15 years, 3 months old unknown Snake reptile.

Say hello to Madam, the Kenyan sand boa! As a snake that is more active during the night, you might not get to see her that often. But don't worry; when you wake up in the morning to start your day, you'll get the chance to see traces of the activities that Madam was up to! And if you're lucky and your schedules align just right, you may be able to see her waking up, poke her head out from her substrate, and start to explore!

Sand boas, although relatively easy to care for, have different care requirements than their more common snake relatives like ball pythons or corn snakes. Sand boas love to burrow and will need an over 20 gallon enclosure filled with 3-4 inches of a suitable substrate like ReptiSand. They also require a warm and cool side to their space (most easily attained with a heat lamp), as well as multiple hides, a UVB bulb to help her thrive, sturdy branches to crawl on, and fake plants to add extra enrichment! Although they are used to arid environments, it would still be best to include a humid hide on the cool side of her enclosure.

Although sand boas usually only live up to 15 years in the wild, they can live up to 20 or even 30 years in captivity! So although she may be a senior snake, there's still a lot of life that Madam would love to share with you! So what do you day? Will you make Madam a part of your family today?
