Layla is a 3 years, 1 month old female Anatolian Shepherd who weighs 147 pounds.

Layla is a striking, sensitive dog who is beginning her journey toward understanding what life in a home can look like. She is currently looking for a very patient, experienced adopter who can help her continue building confidence at her own pace.

In the shelter environment, Layla has shown that she can be cautious and slow to warm up to new people and situations. She has had moments where she prefers space and needs time to process what is happening around her, especially in busy or unfamiliar settings. At times, when feeling overwhelmed, she may communicate her discomfort through clear body language and a need for distance.

Once given the opportunity to move at her own speed, Layla has shown that she can engage with her environment and explore more comfortably, especially when she feels safe and unpressured.

Layla will do best in a calm home that understands canine body language and give her the time and space she needs to blossom into the best version of herself!
