Scoot is a 4 years old female American Bulldog/Mix who weighs 70 pounds.

Don't let Scoot's first impression fool you! This girl may seem nervous or defensive in her kennel, especially with new people, but once she's out and about, she is the sweetest lady. Scoot is super affectionate and loves to nudge your hand for pets, lean against your legs, or even climb into your lap (despite definitely not being lap-dog sized)! Belly rubs are one of her favorite things, and she'll let you know when she thinks the attention has stopped too soon. Treats are the quickest way to her heart and help her build trust with new people. Scoot would do best with a patient family who can advocate for her, avoid head-on introductions with strangers, and help her continue gaining confidence. She may do best with respectful older children who can respect her boundaries. Scoot did come into our care with another dog, but with a limited history, we're not sure what their relationship looked like. We are also unsure of how she'd do with cats and small animals, so we recommend very slow, supervised introductions. Scoot will give you all the love you could ever ask for, and her only request is that you give her the same!
