Say a soft hello to Dean: a sensitive, gentle boy who takes a little time to feel safe - but once he does, his sweet personality truly shines. New situations and sudden movements can make him anxious, and he can be protective of his cozy spaces, especially blankets and hides. When approached too quickly or startled, Dean may hiss or growl to communicate that he needs a moment. With patience, slow movements, and a calm voice, however, he settles beautifully.

Once Dean has had a chance to get used to your presence, he relaxes visibly - soft eyes, neutral ears, and less tension - and begins to seek out affection in his own thoughtful way. He can be a bit conflicted about attention at first, often taking time before deciding he's ready. When he does, he leans in enthusiastically, pushing into your hand with a deep, happy purr. Dean makes excellent biscuits and especially loves shoulder rubs, chin scritches, and butt scratches, which often earn you a full body stretch or a proud butt lift.

Dean is shy but incredibly sweet, and his confidence continues to grow with gentle, respectful interactions. He does best with people who understand feline body language and are happy to let him set the pace. In a calm, predictable home, Dean is sure to blossom into a devoted and affectionate companion.
