Don't let the name fool you - while Speedy still enjoys taking life at his own pace, he's blossomed into one of the sweetest, most affectionate companions you could ask for.

When you come home, expect a warm welcome at the door before he's ready to escort you to the sofa for what he considers the most important part of the day: cuddle time. When you sit down, don't expect to have your lap (or personal space!) for long. Within seconds, Speedy will be right beside you (or on you), ready for pets, snuggles, and plenty of love.

After he's had his fill of attention, he's perfectly content to curl up next to you on the sofa or bed, often lying on his back with his little legs adorably dangling as he relaxes nearby. If he's feeling a little lonely, he'll happily follow you from room to room, gently reminding you that it's probably time for another cuddle break.

Speedy also has a wonderfully playful side. He loves batting toys around the apartment, chasing light reflections from a watch or phone, and will enthusiastically sprint after Dreamies tossed down the hallway. His playful antics are guaranteed to make you laugh.

One of Speedy's most wonderful qualities is his gentle nature. In the time he's been in foster care, he has never scratched or bitten, even when he's unsure about something. Instead, he'll simply walk away and give himself some space. We're still helping him build confidence with being picked up and held, and he's learning that brushing isn't so bad either. His forever family will just need to continue moving at his pace, and he'll reward that patience with endless affection.

Speedy's journey has been incredible to watch. The shy cat who once needed time to trust people has grown into a loving, loyal companion who simply wants to be close to his favourite humans. If you're looking for a gentle, affectionate best friend who will greet you at the door, keep you company throughout the day, and happily curl up beside you every evening, Speedy might just be the perfect match.
