Miso is a 5 years, 7 months old female Domestic Shorthair/Mix cat who weighs 13 pounds.

Meet Miso! This sweet girl has found her way back into our care for the third time, and although the circumstances were never her fault, we are hoping this is her last stay with us. Shelter life is simply too stressful for Miso, so she's now enjoying some much-needed decompression time in a foster home.

Miso is usually very nervous at first, and she might greet you with a hiss or growl, but underneath that uncertainty is an incredibly affectionate girl. Once she trusts you, she leans HARD into cheek rubs and head-to-tail pets, and when that purr starts, you'll know you're officially part of her circle! History shows that she can be quite the talker, too!

After over 5 years and more than her share of changes and uncertainty, Miso is looking for a quiet, patient, and consistent home where she can finally settle in for good. Starting Miso in a safe room all to herself will help give her the space she needs to build her confidence and go about her daily activities without the stress or pressure of constant movement. She'd prefer a home without small children and with people who can be gentle with her and read her body language. Her comfort with other animals is unknown, but any high-energy pets would likely be too overwhelming.

After all she's been through, Miso is ready to be someone's comfort - and to find some comfort of her own.
