Fauna is a 5 months old female Domestic Shorthair/Mix cat who weighs 4 pounds.

Fauna is a young kitten who is finding shelter life pretty overwhelming right now. At just five months old, all the unfamiliar sights, sounds, smells, and activity can be a lot to process, and she has been very clear when she needs more space.
When frightened or overwhelmed, Fauna may vocalize, growl, paw, or use her mouth to communicate that she's not ready for interaction. Rather than pushing her past her comfort zone, she'll benefit from a patient, gentle approach that allows her to make choices and build trust at her own pace.
A quiet home, a dedicated safe space, predictable routines, and plenty of positive experiences will give Fauna the opportunity to decompress and let us see more of the kitten underneath all that worry.
Fauna would be a wonderful match for a patient, cat-savvy adopter who can give a sensitive young kitten the time, space, and understanding she needs to feel safe and build confidence.

Note that many cats do not reach full size until they are about a year and a half old. The weight listed here is the cat's current weight.
