Meet Ryder

All about Ryder
Animal ID: 2000493856

Ryder is a 5 months old female Domestic Shorthair/Mix cat who weighs 4 pounds.

Ryder is a sweet but shy girl who was found on a farm and is still learning that people can be trusted. The world can feel a little overwhelming for this sensitive kitten, so she prefers to observe from a safe hiding spot while she figures things out.
Although Ryder can be nervous and occasionally gives a little hiss when she's unsure, she's already making some lovely progress! What started as keeping her distance has slowly turned into accepting tasty treats, offering gentle slow blinks, and even allowing a few soft head scratches while enjoying a snack. With each positive interaction, she's taking small but meaningful steps toward feeling more comfortable around people.
Ryder will need a calm, patient home with someone who understands that building trust takes time. Giving her safe hiding places, allowing her to approach on her own terms, and using treats and gentle encouragement will help her continue gaining confidence.

Note that many cats do not reach full size until they are about a year and a half old. The weight listed here is the cat's current weight.
