- older kids okay (recommend 12+); children should be comfortable reading and respecting body language, and all interactions should be supervised
- no cats in home
- no dogs in home
- history of separation stress

Move over Horton Hears a Who... because Thornton is here - and he Hears a Human!! Thornton is a very sweet and affectionate pup who loves attention. He's very praise motivated and will happily turn to you with a wagging tail when you ask him, "Who's a Good Boy?" After almost two months in shelter, Thornton has had to get serious about finding people to tell him he's a good boy! He's known for his eager, high pitched bark when he hears a human not paying attention to him!

Thornton has excellent leash manners, and is house-trained. He enjoys long sniff walks and playing with his ball. He's not a big fan of other dogs, but will ignore them as long as they ignore him. He is looking for a home where he can be the only pet, but this gentle boy's snuggly nature and zest for life means your home won't feel empty. Thornton may do well with kids, but as he can be uncomfortable with rough or invasive handling, he would do best with older children that can read and respect his body language. He does have a history of separation related stress and will benefit from a human who works from home, or is otherwise able to introduce absences slowly.
