Cooper is a 2 years, 9 months old male Alaskan Husky/Mix who weighs 73 pounds.

Meet Cooper, a handsome with a sweet, goofy side just waiting to shine! Shelter life has been a little overwhelming for this nervous boy, so we haven't had the chance to see his full personality yet. In his previous home, Cooper was described as a happy, excitable and playful pup. He loves toys (indestructibles are best!), food, and spending time outdoors! Cooper has lived successfully with another medium-sized dog, though he can lunge and pull towards other dogs while on leash in excitement. Otherwise, he has shown us that he has great leash skills! Cooper is still working on making friends and learning to trust us in shelter, so he will need a very patient family that can give him space to feel comfortable and approach on his own terms. He gets nervous when hands are near his head or his feet, so knowing how to read and respect dog body language will also be important. Cooper has not lived with kids before, and young, inexperienced children are likely not the best fit. He has displayed high prey drive, so we recommend that his next home has no cats, or a very dog-savvy cat. Once you are Cooper's buddy, he's as sweet as can be! Come show him some love.
