Rexie is a 1 year old male Large Mixed Breed who weighs 62 pounds.

Rexie can go home on or after June 18th following his neuter surgery, but he can start having visits now!

Meet Rexie! Rexie is a sweet, large pup who is still learning what life as a house dog is all about. Transferred to us from another rescue, he is new to many everyday experiences and will need a patient, understanding home to help him build confidence and to celebrate each little milestone!

Rexie is still figuring out things like toys, play and being indoors, but he's already showing great progress with harness training and leash walking! He can be unsure in new spaces and sensitive to loud noises or sudden movements, but soft voices, gentle handling, and a few tasty treats go a long way in helping him relax.

Rexie has also shown us that he is an incredibly sweet boy who loves affection when he knows you. In shelter, pets from his friends have been a great way to encourage him to try new things, explore new spaces and learn new skills! He previously lived with other dogs and may benefit from a confident canine companion to help guide him! We are not sure how he'd do with cats and other smaller creatures, including children.

Even though Rexie is still quite new to us, he's already won the hearts of our staff and volunteers and is sure to win yours, too!

Rexie is:
- unknown with kids, supervised interactions required
- unknown with cats & small animals, slow intros required
- open to dogs pending successful intros, has lived with others before

Note that many dogs do not reach full size until they are about a year and a half old. The weight listed here is the dog's current weight.
