Bean is a 1 year old male Medium Mixed Breed who weighs 75 pounds.

He's cuter than a collectable Beanie Baby - it's Bean!! This silly boy is a playful guy who loves a good game of fetch! When he's not chasing balls, Bean likes to bring them on walks, carrying favourite balls in his mouth for everyone to see! Like many adolescent dogs, Bean sometimes has Big Feelings about life! Bean can become frustrated in busy or overly exciting situations, so Bean's new home should offer a calm, supportive environment where he can continue to work on growing into the best (and cutest) version of himself. Bean can also be protective of his stuff, so patience is essential to help Bean learn that he's safe and secure! Bean already knows some foundational skills such as "sit" and "paw" and is ready to put his best paw forward with you! In shelter, he's working on calmly settling, and making strides every day. Bean is looking for an adult/teen only home that can help him build a routine and continue to grow into the incredible pup we know he can be.

A bit about Bean:
- okay for older children (13+) who can read and respect body language; interactions should be supervised
- no cats in home
- must be only dog in home; potential for dog friends in future
- history of resource guarding
