Amber is a 4 years old female Pit Bull Terrier/Mix who weighs 68 pounds.

Amber is awaiting a spay surgery, and can go home on or after August 29, but she's available for visits now!

Meet Amber! This sweet girl's story is a bit of a mystery. We suspect she was abandoned, so we don't know much about her life before arriving at the shelter. What we do know is that Amber is finding her confidence one day at a time! She's been a little nervous here, but yummy treats are helping her make new friends. Once she knows you, Amber greets you with a loose, wiggly body and a happy tail, ready to say, "Let's go!" She has the silliest zoomies (especially after a good poop), loves being outside, and enjoys sniffing every popular spot to gather new information and keep her brain enriched. After a few minutes of excitement and a bit of pulling, she settles into a nice leash walk. Amber isn't a cuddly dog just yet and prefers to approach people on her own terms, but with patience, she may turn into a very affectionate companion! Her compatibility with dogs and cats is unknown, so slow, supervised introductions are needed. She'd likely do best with respectful kids who understand her space. Amber's a total gem whose full personality has yet to be unearthed - how do you feel about discovering it?!
