Meet Buddy, a playful, energetic boy who is looking for a family that will give him the time and guidance he needs to feel comfortable and show off his personality.
Buddy can be a little unsure when meeting new people or exploring unfamiliar environments, but patience goes a long way with him. Give him some time to observe, toss a few tasty treats his way, and you'll start to see his curiosity come through. Once he feels more comfortable, Buddy enjoys engaging with his people and has a fun, playful side with plenty of enthusiasm for life.
Buddy is an active boy who will thrive with regular exercise, mental enrichment, and continued positive reinforcement training. He can become very excited and is still working on his leash manners, particularly when he sees other dogs. He's looking for a family that understands he may need a little extra space and support while navigating the world.

A little bit about Buddy:
Kids: Older children (13+) recommended who can understand and respect his body language.
Cats/Small Animals: No known history with cats or small animals.
Dogs: Has successfully lived with two large dogs following slow introductions. Buddy can be reactive toward dogs while on leash and may guard resources from other dogs. Potential to live with a select dog pending a successful dog-to-dog introduction and appropriate management in the home.

Note that many dogs do not reach full size until they are about a year and a half old. The weight listed here is the dog's current weight.
