Meet Max

All about Max
Animal ID: 2000481724

Max is a 1 year old male Border Collie/Mix who weighs 40 pounds.

Meet Max, a lovable, energetic boy with a wiggly personality and plenty of affection to share!
Max is a friendly, social guy who loves being around people and is always excited for an opportunity to get outside and explore. He enjoys sniffing around, going for walks, and discovering everything the world has to offer. He's also been enjoying his outings with volunteers, showing off his fun loving personality along the way!
Max has lots of enthusiasm for life and can sometimes get a little carried away with excitement, leading to jumping or playful mouthing. He's still learning how to channel all that energy and would benefit from a family who can provide positive reinforcement training, enrichment, and consistent routines. Max also loves having his people nearby and may need some support learning to feel comfortable when left alone.
With his affectionate nature, playful spirit, and love for adventure, Max is looking for a family ready to help him thrive and enjoy all the wonderful things life has to offer!

A little bit about Max:
Kids: Older children (16+) who can understand and respect canine body language is recommended. All interactions should be carefully supervised by an adult.
Cats/Small Animals: No cats in the home due to a reported history of chasing and biting a resident cat.
Dogs: Unknown history with other dogs. Potential to live with another dog pending a successful dog-to-dog introduction.

Note that many dogs do not reach full size until they are about a year and a half old. The weight listed here is the dog's current weight.
