Meet Scout

All about Scout
Animal ID: 2000487272

Scout is a 3 years, 1 month old male Olde English Bulldogge/Mix who weighs 66 pounds.

Meet Scout, the most handsome Olde English Bulldog! This sweet boy came into our care as a fearful, avoidant pup and has not had the easiest time settling into the shelter environment. Since his intake, Scout has made tons of progress building trust, becoming more comfortable with handling, and learning new skills with trusted staff. He may take a little time to warm up, especially with men, but with patience, space and food, his goofy personality will slowly peak through! Once you're in his circle, get ready for lots of cuddles, curiosity, playful shenanigans, and plenty of running around together! Just be warned: Scout is a certified bed hog, so expect to wake up beside a big, snoring, fuzzy bed bug.

Scout is looking for a calm, patient home where he can settle in at his own pace and choose when he's ready to connect. Scout has done well with young children before, but we would recommend kids ages 8 and older who can respect his space. He may do well with a calm, respectful dog after proper introductions, but no cats or small animals, please! Could you be Scout's safe place to land?

Scout is:
- open to kids 8+ who can read body language and respect space, supervised interactions required
- no cats or small animals
- potential for other dog pending successful intros
