Meet Charlie

All about Charlie
Animal ID: 2000488132

Charlie is a 5 years, 1 month old female Medium Mixed Breed who weighs 51 pounds.

Charlie may take a little time to warm up to new people, but once she starts feeling comfortable, her lovely personality begins to shine. She enjoys being close to her people and happily leans in for pets! As she gets to know you, you'll see her tail start wagging and her affectionate side come out.
Charlie is a thoughtful girl who appreciates a gentle approach and a little patience when navigating new experiences. Busy environments, sudden noises, and unfamiliar movements can sometimes make her nervous, so she'll do best with a family who can help her build confidence at her own pace.
Charlie is looking for a calm, understanding home where she can enjoy companionship, predictable routines, and plenty of positive reinforcement. She'll also benefit from continued support with handling, especially around her paws, and learning to feel comfortable when spending time alone.
Charlie has so much love to share. She's ready to find someone who will appreciate her sensitive side and help her feel safe, happy, and right at home!

A little bit about Charlie:
Kids: Children aged 13+ recommended. Children should understand and respect canine body language, and all interactions must be carefully supervised by an adult.
Cats/Small Animals: Previously lived with a cat but displayed mixed behaviours. A home without cats or small animals is recommended.
Dogs: Charlie can become very excited around other dogs and may play roughly. An only-dog home is recommended, although a home with a select compatible dog may be considered following a successful dog-to-dog introduction.
