Meet Angel

All about Angel
Animal ID: 2000497057

Angel is a 2 years old female Large Mixed Breed who weighs 66 pounds.

She is just as soft and gentle as she sounds; this is Angel! Sweet Angel was found roaming around the parking lot of a dealership, so we don't know what her life looked like before coming to us. We do know that she is having a hard time in the loud and unpredictable shelter environment and would really love to find a patient, quiet home to call her own. It appears to us as though Angel has either had very few experiences being in a home or potentially none at all. She is still learning to be comfortable walking on a leash, playing with toys, and trusting new people and places. Angel is definitely gaining more confidence each day (albeit slowly) and has become close enough with a few of our staff to solicit and enjoy pets and belly scratches! Right now, the best way to earn her trust is to sit near her, toss some treats and patiently wait for her to make the decision to come closer. Her ideal family will be willing to let Angel adjust, explore and approach at her own pace, and will celebrate each of her milestones, both big and small! We don't know how Angel will do with other animals or kids, but older and calmer is probably best due to her fearfulness. There is no doubt in our minds that Angel is going to become the most wonderful companion - it might just take some time to get her there!

Angel is:
Unknown history with cats. Potential for cats and other small animals in home. Gradual step-by-step introductions over multiple sessions highly recommended. All interactions supervised by adults.
Unknown history with children. All interactions should be well supervised.
Unknown history with other dogs. Potential for select other dog in home pending successful D2D.
