- no dogs in home required due to dog reactivity

Swing by the shelter during the day and you might see a little grey dog, strutting along, confident that the entire world adores him! And to be fair, it should! Not only does Hippo look like a mini hippopotamus, but he has the confidence of one too! This intelligent little guy is an astute student of human behaviour - he loves people and very quickly learned all the tricks to ensure he gets as many snuggles as he can! Hippo recently reached senior dog status, but he has no clue! Walks, puzzle toys and enrichment are an important part of his day and sometimes he still gets excited and will jump up to say hi! He's not a fan of other dogs, and has been known to chase cats, so a home where he can be the star would be ideal. Hippo does have some medical concerns, including allergies and hip dysplasia; the Adoptions team can give you more info to decide if Hippo is the right pup for you! For now, Hippo is happy, healthy, active and busy bribing every human in the shelter building for cuddles! Come get him soon; we can't take this cuteness!
