Meet Wally, our wonderfully unique Muscovy duck! Found as a stray, Wally was quite shy at first-but with time, patience, and lots of tasty greens and superworms, his confidence has blossomed. While we're not entirely sure if Wally is a "he," we do know this duck is full of personality. Wally doesn't quack like your typical duck-instead, he makes soft, breathy sounds when curious or unsure. He enjoys foraging in straw, dabbling in his pond, and relaxing on his favorite perch (true to Muscovy fashion, he prefers perching to swimming!).Wally eats well, especially when offered soaked pellets, leafy greens, and his absolute favourite: superworms! He may not be cuddly, but he's calm, fascinating to watch, and comfortable having people nearby. Due to City of Calgary bylaws, Wally is looking for a forever home outside of the city-ideally on a hobby farm or acreage where he can enjoy the outdoors safely.
