Say hello to Yang and their friend, Yin! Although fantail goldfish are quite hardy and adaptable, they cannot thrive in small spaces or bowls, so be sure that you are prepared for how big this little fish can get! To prevent your fish from quickly outgrowing their tank (and needing to do increased water changes!), it's best to start with a 40 gallon-size tank for one goldfish, and adding an additional 20 gallons tot eh tank size per additional goldfish. However, it is noted that the biggest you can afford without it being over 2 feet deep, the better! Good water quality, a healthy diet, and proper lighting and filters will ensure that you're goldfish can reach their 10-15 year lifespan!
