Calgary Humane Society is celebrating its 100th Birthday! For the past 100 years, we are proud to call ourselves leaders in animal welfare and have cared for thousands of animals in need. Our mission remains the same, to care for as many animals as we can.
To celebrate this significant milestone, we invite the entire community of Calgary to join in on the fun!
On August 6th, head down to the Calgary Humane Society Park for an outdoor, family-friendly festival-style event! The celebration will mark both our Centennial occasion and the completion of our facility enhancement project, a $14 million expansion of the shelter.
Hound n’ Sound will showcase local entertainment, featuring the Frontiers, carnival games for all ages, kids’ zone, YYC food trucks, a Cold Garden beer area, a PUPPY CAKE SMASH and so much more!. Keep an eye out for our incredibly cute adoptable animals roaming the area, saying hello to our guests and looking for their forever home.
