Hi! My name is Max! The shelter team here says that I am a loving boy - once you are my friend I love snuggles ! I am also very smart and food motivated - I already know sit, lay down, paw and high five! Although I am the best boy, I unfortunately have not had a lot of good experiences with people outside my previous family. I am very nervous of strangers, and it takes me a lot of time to feel comfortable around you and be your friend. I will need my new family to be patient as we get to know each other better, and prepared to help me work on having positive experiences around strangers. Right now, I am reactive to strangers, which means that they scare me, so I try to make myself look scary! Because I am a nervous boy, I would likely do best in a adult only home with dog experience. However, if you have some resident pets, I might do well with them - the adoption team can tell you more!
