Hey there, my name is Buddy and I'm looking for my furever family! I'm a sweet boy who would thrive in an active, structured and calm household. Despite having a ton of energy, I can be a bit timid when we first meet. Don't worry, though, because with a little bit of time and a lot of treats, I'll warm up to you in a flash! Once we've built that trust, I can become super excitable and I might jump up on you to show that. I'm pretty strong, too, so this is something I definitely need to work on with a bit of training. Due to my high arousal and nervousness, older kids who are able to read dog body language and respect my space are recommended. Another thing about me is that I shouldn't go to a home with cats or small animals as I've been known to try and chase them on walks! However, I may do well with your resident dog if they are more laidback. Anyways, that's all you need to know about me! I know that I will take some extra time, love and patience when it comes to building confidence and learning right from wrong, but I promise that all the love you'll get in return will be worth it!!
